Both log cabins are set on our lovely Majota Finca in rural, picturesque surroundings on the southern Costa Blanca. All around us there are beautiful views of the mountains and the air is very clear, making the colours very varied. There is a large swimming pool for your use during your stay and snacks and refreshments are available at the poolside bar. If a barbeque is your idea of heaven on those lazy warm evenings then that can be arranged too. They are ideal for self-catering and as a base for sight seeing. The retreat is probably best suited for couples wanting a relaxing, quiet holiday to soak up the sun, sight see, maybe paint or fish, have lunch or dinner out and enjoy a quiet drink and chat in the evening, in pleasant surroundings with a little music.
Majota runs on electricity provided by our own generator (a silent runner), wind turbine and 48 volt battery bank system so we do not have to rely on unpredictable service companies! Our water is delivered by the tankerful, so there are no cuts during times of drought. The residential part of our finca is fenced and watched over by our dogs – mainly shepherds. We do not accept children. Smoking is not permitted inside the cabins due to health and safety issues, but with so much outside to see and do, why would you need to? Smoking is however, permitted in the grounds.
A car is essential, especially if you wish to take advantage of the other various nearby activities such as horse riding and quad bikes. The Mar Menor is approximately half an hour away, where you can enjoy the spectacular windsurfing and kite surfing. Further along the cost towards Torrevieja, you can experience scuba diving in the crystal clear waters at Cabo Roig.
